About Alfred

At a show in 2004 I (Solveig) saw a seal bicolour ragdoll and fell in love. What a beauty!
Started to look around for one and all of a sudden one night when I was surfing the Internet; There he was, the cat of my dreams!
I talked to Helen (Oledoledoff´s) and asked if he was for sale. He was and we were very welcome to come and meet him.
She had many cute kittens but for me there was only one, Alfred. Two weeks later we could bring him home. At first he was very afraid of Kompis,
but soon realised that under all that fur were a really good friend. Kompis welcomed Alfred into our family and took good care of him and .

Alfred grew fast and developed in to a handsome guy. He attended a few shows with following results:
2 x Ex1, 2 x CAC, 1 x NOM
As neuter: 2 x CAP

I decided to use him in breeding a couple of times before neutering him. Did the recommended tests and to my great despair he had HCM.
I got really scared, but the vet recommended medication that would hopefully slow down the disease. He became a neuter and seemed to be alright.
A year later I scanned him again and  there were no big changes in his heart.

When Alfred was 2 1/2 years old the thing I feared the most happend. One saturday morning he din´t get up with the other cats.
At first I thought he wanted to sleep in with my husband, but when he also got up and not Affe I went to the bedroom to check him out.
I belived he was still sleeping but NO - he had died. A horrible feeling.
I had been up at five a clock in the morning and then he was fine. He followed me into the bedromm and layed down next to my husband,
were he always slept and in the morning he was gone. I miss my beautiful prince so much. Affe will always live in our hearts.
Through him we have found a good friend, Helen, who has supported us and shared our sorrow.

Thank you Helen for keeping him on your homepage and for all the nice things you have written about him.
