Kompis came into our family in 1995. He was so very, very
cute. My
son (10 years old at that time) instantly loved him and so did the rest
of us too.
Kompis travelled all over the contry with us and he loved our caravan
holidays.
We are so happy that he became a part of our family.
He has given us so much. He led us to understand that he was the boss
and he nurtured new arrivals. They for exampel was shown how to open
cabinet doors.
In his old days he was allowed to walk free outside. I worked and
worked with him and finally he understood that he was not
allowed to leave the yard or visit the
neighbours. With time Kompis got a lot of habits he wanted us
to cater for. When we got to our summerhouse the first thing he did was
to
go to my sister-in-law
in the house next to us to get some little treats.
Kompis was never on any show, he was our pet and it suited him
perfectly. He charmed his "mum" and refused to be combed. Linda was the
one to keep
him nice. He knew that protests were useless. When she came to visit he
quickly hid himself under the kitchen-sink, if no comb or brush appered
he
came out and gladly enjoyed her company.
Of course we hoped to have many more happy and healthy years with him
but a week after his 13th birthday
Kompis turned very ill and he made the walk over the Rainbow Bridge.
Kompis had such a personality that he is not only missed by us, our
family and friends also miss him a lot.
We have so many fun and happy memories of him and he will always be
remembered.
Thank
you
Harriet for our wonderful KOMPIS!
