A while after Ebba moved in with me, I (
Linda)
decided to get her a friend. I had fallen for exotics and I looked
around for one.
I ended up at S* Peach´s who had a wonderful little
blacktabby boy, Konrad.
He was for sale and at 12 weeks he moved home to me. He settled in
quickly
and everything was going fine. Ebba was not happy to
get a "rival" but eventually she calmed down and accepted him.
After
about a months I started to
notice that something seemed to be wrong with Konrad. He became more
and more quiet, didn´t play
much and slept most of the time. And one morning he had lost control
over his hind legs. He got antbiotics and seemed to be better,
but then he got worse and we had to take him back to the vet. Konrad
got admitted to the clinic for some days, got better again and could
come home with a new sort of antibiotics. But a few days later he got
much worse and I had to make the heavy decision to put him to sleep.
He only got to be five months old.
Konrad was a lovely little boy. He loved to cuddle up on your chest so
that you could rub your chin on his head.
He knew what he wanted and he was a true fighter.
